Abstract

This action research focused on the effects of reducing dry leaves on creating classroom decorations of Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strandstudents of Bestlink College of the Philippines. Using dry leaves can help the students to make a new decoration in terms of creating by using waste dry leaves. It helps avoid clogging, floods, and air pollution from burning leaves, thereby reducing plastic and paper waste that can make a new decoration. It also helps us to be creative and care for the environment. Many things that can do in Dry leaves can be made into decorations. The researchers used the qualitative method. The research involved 50 selected grade 12 ABM Strandstudents. Three variables, such as; students’ creativity, improvement of classroom designs, and lessen dry leaves, were considered regarding the advantage of creating classroom decorations by using dry leaves. The results showed that students cooperated to finish this task. The students also acknowledged this chance to gain knowledge in terms of creativeness. It is effective for students because it can be their hobby. Giving time to do such an activity instead of being stressed out about other things. This study showed the amount of waste dry leaves that can affect the environment of the school. This study showed some factors that can be used to reduce the number of dry leaves. This work also showed the possible decorations that can be made by using waste dry leaves.
