Abstract

This research study focused on the benefits of recycling shoeboxes to Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM)Strand students of the Bestlink College of the Philippines. This study will present how recycling will help the students and the environment. A qualitative method was implemented, and this study used a descriptive type of research to show the results of this study. The information was collected through questionnaires that were distributed to 50 selected grade 12 ABM Strand students. The variables of recycling shoe boxes, including well-organized, space-saving, beautiful ambiance, environment--friendly, reduce waste, save money, students’ creativity, cleanliness, and discipline, were considered. The result of the study revealed that well organized was one factor of the benefits of recycling shoe boxes in the students. Therefore, students should learn how to recycle effectively. The result demonstrated that the students should value recycling shoeboxes to be aware of their surroundings, especially nature, and encourage them to recycle. A program/workshop must be created to teach students the value of recycling and how to recycle.
