Abstract

Strong productivity is influenced by various factors, with effective workplace practices serving as its foundation (Davis, 2017). This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how workplace practices affect employee productivity. While numerous studies have explored this topic, the organizational practices of government agencies and their direct impact on productivity remain relatively unexamined. This research will be beneficial to organizations and leaders seeking to enhance employee performance. This study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive research method. A total of 50 employees from the Bureau of Internal Revenue participated in the study. Data was gathered through a paper-based survey questionnaire and analyzed using frequency and percentage distribution, arithmetic mean, Likert scale, and ranking. Findings indicate that recognizing achievements, enforcing disciplinary actions, and providing regular feedback are effective workplace practices that enhance employee job performance. However, challenges such as employee disengagement, age diversification, and miscommunication were identified as major factors that lead to lower productivity. This research provides valuable insights into the influence of workplace practices on employee productivity. The study suggests that organizations should promote diversity and equality, while maintaining positive workplace practices, policies, and leadership strategies. In an era where money is no longer the primary motivator, focusing on employee satisfaction offers a significant competitive advantage (Morgan, 2017).
