Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of utilizing digital devices on students' attention and concentration concerning their academic achievements. This study seeks to improve students' academic success by understanding how the use of digital devices influences their attention and concentration concerning academic achievement. The researchers intended to provide solutions and suggestions to maximize the advantages of digital device usage while reducing its negative effects, ultimately leading to a more efficient learning environment for BSAIS students. A descriptive research design was employed in this study, which is an effective method utilized by scientists and researchers to collect data regarding a specific group or phenomenon. This research format offers a comprehensive and precise depiction of the traits and actions of a specific population or topic (Sirsilla, 2023). This chapter included the profiles of the respondents, the effects of utilizing digital devices, challenges faced, and the solutions implemented. This research involves 100 randomly selected BSAIS college students, and survey questions were designed to collect data from the participants. Results indicated that the use of digital devices primarily impacts their time management and class involvement. Findings indicate that with the appropriate use of digital devices, effective time management and allocating specific times for using such devices will contribute to enhancing their academic performance.
