Abstract

The effectiveness of the Rodriguez Fire Station is influenced by several factors, including the necessity for consistent road maintenance to ensure access routes remain clear. According to the study's findings, the researchers recommend a number of actions. It is crucial to educate residents and property owners about the significance of maintaining their buildings, fire safety, and structural soundness. They should learn to identify common hazards, such as deteriorating foundations, weakened support beams, and electrical problems, while being encouraged to adopt proactive maintenance practices. Furthermore, regular fire drills and emergency response exercises should be conducted in partnership with Barangay residents, schools, businesses, and community organizations. These drills should simulate various scenarios to practice evacuation procedures, communication protocols, and coordination with emergency services. Additionally, it is important to raise awareness among residents regarding the necessity of investing in firefighting equipment and gear to enhance community safety. Emphasizing the importance of proper equipment will help mitigate fire risks and safeguard lives and property within the Barangay. The researchers implemented a thorough research design that included the selection of study participants, sampling techniques, data collection instruments, validation of these instruments, and the processes for administering and retrieving data. The participants for the study were sourced from Barangay San Jose in Montalban, Rizal, totaling 50 individuals. This group consisted of 10 personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), 10 fire volunteers, and 30 residents of Barangay San Jose. The researchers chose to use a survey instrument, distributing questionnaires to the selected respondents. Recognizing that some individuals might be reluctant to answer questions that do not apply to them, the researchers carefully considered their participant selection. The study assessing the effectiveness of the Rodriguez Fire Station in San Jose, Montalban, Rizal, reveals a consensus of "Strongly Agree" regarding its operational performance during emergency situations. However, it also highlights significant challenges, notably limited communication infrastructure, which impede coordination efforts during emergency responses. The study on the Rodriguez Fire Station in San Jose, Montalban, Rizal, highlights several critical areas impacting emergency response effectiveness, including limited communication infrastructure, inadequate access to modern firefighting tools, and insufficient training in rescue operations. Addressing these challenges is essential to enhance coordination and overall response capabilities.
