This study examines the possible repercussions encountered by young people who lack awareness of the harmful impacts of illegal drugs in today's society. The initiative, Kabataan Kontra Droga, seeks to support urban youth by providing education on the consequences of illegal drug consumption and addressing the issue of substance abuse prevalent among the younger generation. The researchers have conducted this investigation to share vital information not only with young individuals but also with the wider community, promoting awareness of the risks associated with illegal drug use and empowering them with the knowledge needed to combat its spread. The researchers utilized the Descriptive Qualitative Method, which involved collecting data to answer questions concerning the current state of the study's topic. Through purposive sampling, a total of twenty (20) barangay employees, twenty (20) barangay youth citizens, and twenty (20) members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be selected to participate in the research. The majority of respondents reached the following conclusions: “Implementing enjoyable and engaging activities to motivate young individuals to take part in community initiatives,” “Pleased with the execution of an outreach program focused on drug awareness within the community,” and “The Kabataan Kontra Droga rehabilitation program is assisting youth in altering their outlook on negative behaviors in the future.” The researchers advocated for the dissemination of knowledge to empower young individuals to educate themselves and their peers regarding the risks associated with drug use and the ramifications of terrorism. This encompasses a comprehension of how these challenges influence individuals, families, and communities. To prevent early exposure to criminal and addictive environments, the researchers suggested the implementation of early intervention programs that offer support and resources to youth and the community prior to their potential involvement in criminal activities. Furthermore, the researchers encouraged future scholars interested in expanding this study to contribute to the advancement of this subject.
