Abstract

Kargada: Freight Management System is a comprehensive solution designed for integrated order management, carrier selection and booking, collaboration, and real-time tracking with reporting. By efficiently combining vehicle monitoring, detailed reporting, and optimized scheduling, this system enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, improves customer satisfaction, and ensures regulatory compliance. The project aims to evaluate and implement an advanced transportation management system, contributing to industry competitiveness through infrastructure development and service expansion. The project adopted the Agile Scrum methodology, incorporating regular stand-up meetings for incremental development, sprint reviews for feedback collection and feature demonstrations, and continuous integration for seamless code updates. Collaboration was facilitated through digital tools, ensuring efficient communication and workflow. By adhering to Agile principles, the approach emphasized customer satisfaction and team adaptability to evolving requirements, promoting a flexible, iterative, and efficient development process. The project successfully optimized the Freight Management System by integrating order management, carrier selection, booking, collaboration, communication, tracking, and reporting. This system allowed employees to efficiently monitor and report on vehicles, while drivers could easily access delivery details through a dedicated portal. Additionally, transportation scheduling became more precise and transparent, ensuring that administrators had clear visibility of all logistics operations, ultimately enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall management. The researchers concluded that the new transportation scheduling system effectively enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and improves customer service by automating vehicle tracking and reporting. This system provides a secure, accurate, and consistent platform for managing transportation data, ensuring real-time monitoring and comprehensive reporting. By streamlining logistics operations, it enhances operational reliability and addresses key challenges in freight management, ultimately benefiting both businesses and customers.
