Abstract

The work environment is crucial for achieving an organization's objectives. It encompasses the office space, furniture, layout, and the overall physical conditions in which employees perform their tasks. A well-organized and positive environment influences various aspects of the company, including leadership effectiveness, employee productivity, and overall performance. In addition, external factors such as the industry the company operates in, the market conditions, and the organizational culture also play a significant role in shaping the work environment. These factors collectively impact employee satisfaction, engagement, and the company's overall success. The researchers used a descriptive research design to present and interpret the study's findings. A quantitative method was employed to analyze the data collected through survey questionnaires and observations from the respondents. The study was conducted across three organizations: the City Real Estate Management and Control Office (CREMCO), the Kapisanan sa Pag-iimpok at Paghiram ng mga Kawani ng Pamahalaang Lungsod Quezon, Inc. (KAPAMALQ), and the Parole and Probation Administration Office 3 in Quezon City. The participants included 28 employees from the three offices, with 10 respondents from CREMCO, 11 from KAPAMALQ, and 7 from the Parole and Probation Administration Office. By collecting data through survey questionnaires, this research provides valuable insights into the design elements that have the most significant influence on employee productivity. The findings reveal that 28% of the 28 respondents are between the ages of 22 and 24, with the majority being female. Most respondents agree that the office environment can enhance both employee productivity and well-being. However, the study also indicates that when productivity in the workplace declines, it can have adverse effects on the company. Common issues reported by respondents include the lack of ergonomic furniture and insufficient workspace for each employee. Additionally, the study highlights that the physical layout of the office environment significantly influences employee productivity. The results indicate the importance of modern amenities in the workplace, as their lack has hindered employee efficiency and task performance. To improve productivity, the company should invest in updating the office environment, ensuring that employees have access to the necessary modern conveniences that will help optimize their work performance.
