IMPACT OF YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAM TO THE REDUCTION OF CHILD IN CONFLICT WITH THE LAW (CICL) IN BARANGAY PAYATAS, QUEZON CITY

This study examines the impact of youth education programs on reducing the number of children in conflict with the law (CICL) in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City. The research provides an in-depth analysis of how educational interventions influence youth behavior and contribute to crime prevention within the community. The study employed a survey research methodology, gathering responses from forty (40) individuals, including employees of the Tahanan Rehabilitation Center and youths from different areas of Payatas (A, B, and C). A non-probability purposive sampling technique was used to ensure the validity and reliability of the findings. The data collected focus on the demographic profile of respondents and their perceptions of the youth education program's impact across social, psychological, school, and emotional dimensions. The study also identifies challenges in implementing education programs and strategies to mitigate CICL cases. The majority of respondents strongly agree that youth education programs contribute positively to the reduction of CICL cases in Barangay Payatas. The findings highlight the significance of youth education programs in fostering community well-being, guiding policy-making, and strengthening crime prevention efforts. This study advocates for a comprehensive policy framework emphasizing rehabilitation and the collaboration of law enforcement and educational institutions to support at-risk youth.
