Abstract

Cooperative learning is the learning process in which individuals learn in a small group with the help of each other. Cooperation will build interdependence. The most important part is communication with others. It shows that we can express ourselves for who we are or what we want to say. This paper discussed the concept and salient features of cooperative learning. The researchers conducted this study to assess cooperative learning in Practical Research 2 Subject. The researchers used quantitative research to emphasize the objective measurement, and descriptive research was used to describe the characteristics of the population or phenomenon that is being studied. We utilized purposive sampling to gather input and feedback from 50 selected Grade 12 General Academic Strand students. Based on the table, the weighted means for male and female respondents were 4.15 and 4.34, respectively, both of which strongly agreed that cooperative learning can be assessed through activities. With the weighted means of 4.37 for male respondents and 4.33 for female respondents, both groups strongly agreed that research output can be assessed for cooperative learning. With the overall weighted means of 4.26 for male respondents and 4.33 for female respondents, both groups strongly agreed that activities and research output are ways to assess cooperative learning. Based on the findings of the study and conclusion drown, the following guidelines were forwarded. To choose a member wisely, one must provide material, such as bond paper, printer, and financial support; teach the process skills that you want to perform; design your member; give your member their roles; define learning objectives for the activity; make sure that everyone in your group understands your topic; use different style to learn how to use video, audio, and picture that helps students learn more knowledge; make sure that each member is willing to learn; and make your lesson quick but efficient.
