Abstract

This study aims to assess employees' satisfaction with the grievance handling procedures at Intele Builders and Development Corporation. It evaluates key aspects such as procedural and confidentiality awareness, time taken, HR’s attitude and supervision, and fairness of decisions. The study further explores how these factors influence overall employee satisfaction and proposes enhancements to improve grievance handling procedures. A descriptive quantitative research design was utilized, involving 44 employees selected through simple random sampling. Structured survey questionnaires served as the primary data collection tool. Responses were analyzed to determine employees' perceptions and satisfaction levels regarding the grievance handling procedures. Findings indicate that employees rated grievance handling procedures, including procedural awareness, confidentiality, timeliness, HR’s attitude, supervision, and fairness of decisions, as "Agree" (3.52). Overall satisfaction with grievance handling procedures was rated as "Very Satisfied" (3.52). A significant relationship was found between grievance handling procedures and overall employee satisfaction (p-value = 0.00001). Based on the findings, an enhanced grievance handling procedure was proposed, focusing on improving decision-making and ensuring justice for employees. Recommendations highlight the need for continuous improvement in grievance resolution while maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction. The study underscores the importance of effective grievance handling in fostering a positive workplace environment. Organizations that promptly and fairly address employee grievances are more likely to enhance job satisfaction, engagement, and productivity. Implementing the proposed recommendations can help Intele Builders and Development Corporation improve employee loyalty, commitment, and overall organizational performance.
