Abstract

Social media has a significant role in determining how people learn in the current world. The majority of social media users are students, which has a big influence on how they study these days. The effects of social media on students' learning behaviors are the main topic of this study. People's behavior is influenced by social media, and technological developments have improved social interactions, learning, information sharing, and social network updates. Abbas and associates (2019). A descriptive design was employed in this investigation. With the primary goal being statistically examined and linked through statistical analysis, it employed quantitative approaches to characterize the variables. Random sampling was used in the selection of the students. Out of the 555 enrolled students, 232 were selected. After that, 232 people in all were selected as sample responses. 232 students will be selected from 14 sections that the researcher selects using the lottery method. Survey questions were employed as the instruments. Frequency, composite mean, five-point Likert scale, and ranking were used to analyze the collected data. According to the report, 112 out of 232 students use government-provided tablets, which is beneficial for students without access to technology for online learning and academic pursuits, particularly during a pandemic. It was found that students' learning behaviors are dramatically impacted when they spend two to three hours on social media, especially Instagram. Social media is essential to students' daily life, particularly when it comes to interacting with a variety of people. Additionally, lack of focus, the advantages of sleep, addiction, and social growth all have an impact on the changes that kids experience in their learning processes. The respondents' demographic profile is as follows: they are between the ages of 9 and 10. Male is the gender. Device Used: Tablets were employed. Two to three hours were spent on social media. What impact do the following factors have on fifth-grade students' learning behaviors? Variables had an impact on the respondents' learning behavior. What difficulties do fifth-grade pupils face as a result of their excessive use of social media? Variables had an impact on the respondents' learning behavior.
