A clear understanding of the factors influencing the career preferences of Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) students and their impact on academic performance is essential for schools to improve curriculum planning and student outcomes. This study examines the relationship between career preferences and academic achievement among ABM students at Bestlink College of the Philippines Bulacan. Additionally, it explores the factors within the ABM strand that influence career choices and their corresponding effects on academic success. This study employed a quasi-experimental research design to assess the relationship between career preference and academic performance. The research was conducted at Bestlink College of the Philippines Bulacan, involving three sections of ABM students. A total of 31 students out of 127 were selected as respondents, comprising 22 females and 9 males. A purposive sampling technique was used to align the sample with the study’s objectives, ensuring data reliability. Data collection was facilitated through an online survey questionnaire designed based on the research objectives. The study aimed to determine whether career preferences influence the academic performance of ABM students. Given the quasi-experimental design, randomization was not possible, which may pose limitations to internal validity. The study found that students' career choices are likely linked to their academic performance, reinforcing the need for alignment between students' interests and their field of study. The findings highlight the potential relationship between career preference and academic achievement, emphasizing the importance of career guidance in helping students align their aspirations with their educational paths.
