ASSESSMENT ON THE BUSINESS OPERATION OF JAPHET UNLI SALES TRADING COMPANY IN QUEZON CITY

Abstract

The researchers selected Japhet Unli Sales Trading Company for this study. Established in May 2017, the company specializes in distributing office, janitorial, laboratory, and medical supplies, as well as general merchandise, furniture, and appliances in Quezon City. Despite operational challenges, the company continues to manage its business efficiently. This study aims to identify possible solutions that could enhance Japhet Unli Sales Trading Company’s business operations. A quantitative descriptive research approach was utilized. The study involved 20 respondents who are customers of the trading company in Quezon City and were selected through purposive sampling. These respondents were knowledgeable and actively participated in answering the survey questionnaire. The survey questionnaire was the primary research instrument used to collect data and insights from respondents regarding the company’s operations. Findings from customer responses indicate strong agreement with the researchers’ observations. Customer transactions received an overall weighted mean of 3.64, emphasizing the importance of timely order delivery. The delivery process obtained a mean score of 3.72, highlighting the need to ensure packages arrive within the designated timeframe. Stock management was rated at 3.59, reflecting the importance of a well-organized and up-to-date inventory database to save time and maintain accurate records. Inventory management received a mean score of 3.67, reinforcing its role in improving order accuracy and minimizing risks of loss. One of the primary challenges faced by the company is low stock availability, which was reported by 60% of respondents. Based on the findings, the researchers recommend establishing guidelines and policies to streamline and enhance company operations. Maintaining an updated and well-organized inventory database is essential for record accuracy. Implementing an efficient inventory management system will help improve accuracy and reduce operational challenges.
