Abstract

The Senior High School Registrar's Office plays an essential role in managing student records, facilitating enrollment, and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes. During their transactions, the researchers identified several challenges within the office, leading to the initiation of this study. The purpose of the research is to assess the improvements in the Senior High School Registrar's Office as perceived by Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. The study also aims to provide a legal framework for evaluating the current services of the Registrar's Office and identifying areas for enhancement. This study adopted a descriptive-quantitative research design to assess the perceptions of Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students at Bestlink College of the Philippines regarding the Senior High School Registrar's Office. The respondents were selected through a cluster sampling technique, which included 150 students from six different sections. Data were collected via a face-to-face survey questionnaire. The responses were analyzed and categorized into four descriptive ratings: "highly improved," "improved," "poor improvement," and "no improvement," in order to evaluate the perceived improvements in the Registrar's services. The study's findings reveal that Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students largely agree on the noticeable improvements in the operations of the Senior High School Registrar. Key areas of enhancement, including queue management, communication, registration processes, and document storage, were highlighted, with an overall weighted mean of 2.97. Additionally, respondents acknowledged improvements in data accuracy, service satisfaction, and overall service quality, reflected by a higher weighted mean of 3.14. These results suggest a consensus among respondents that the Registrar's Office has made substantial progress in optimizing its operations and overall performance. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the Senior High School Registrar’s Office has made considerable improvements, as reflected by the positive feedback from Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students. Despite the progress, there is still room for further development. To ensure sustained progress, the study suggests the implementation of an action plan focused on maintaining existing strengths while enhancing areas that still require attention. The findings provide valuable insights that can guide future initiatives aimed at continually improving the efficiency and quality of services in the Registrar's Office.
