To develop the SMS Library System, the project team utilized the Agile methodology, which promotes flexibility through the division of the project into manageable, iterative phases. This structured yet adaptive approach ensured steady progress and continuous refinement. Regular stakeholder interviews were conducted to gather insights and feedback, which guided the enhancement of system features and ensured that the final output aligns closely with user requirements. The SMS Library System effectively responds to user needs by integrating key features such as QR code scanning for quick book identification, an AI-powered Fine Tracker for real-time fine computation, and an online book reservation option. These innovations significantly improve the organization and monitoring of library resources, minimize errors in tracking overdue items, and create a smoother, more efficient library process. As a result, users experience greater convenience and satisfaction in borrowing and managing books. The SMS Library System offers promising improvements to the overall library experience for both students and librarians. Resolving common issues in library management; it encourages increased student interaction with available resources. Throughout development, it became clear that continuous user feedback plays a vital role in shaping a system that genuinely meets the needs of its users and supports the library’s role in academic success.
