Abstract

The proposed Reservation Management System is designed to efficiently handle reservation details, simplifying operations for both the management and staff, while providing a more convenient booking experience for customers. This system is intended for Lydia's Resort, a family-friendly destination where guests can enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay with their loved ones. The researchers employed the Waterfall Model under the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as their methodological framework. To identify and resolve existing issues, they analyzed, designed, and developed a Reservation Management System tailored to the needs of Lydia’s Resort. Information was gathered through client interviews to understand the current processes and enhance the overall user experience. The system was developed using JAVA for the front end and MySQL for the database. During implementation, the system was demonstrated to the client, ensuring ease of use and efficiency. This system is intended to optimize the resort’s reservation process by reducing manual workload and improving operational efficiency for both staff and management. The Reservation Management System for Lydia's Resort underwent successful testing, significantly improving the efficiency and reliability of the resort’s reservation process. The system accurately records and presents reservation details, ensuring better organization and reducing the likelihood of errors or miscommunication. It also generates detailed reports for administrators, indicating the status of reservations—whether accepted, canceled, fully paid, or pending. To enhance security, the system incorporates a question-and-answer verification feature, allowing staff to navigate and manage the system securely and efficiently. Lydia's Resort has encountered ongoing issues in managing reservations, including miscommunication between customers and staff, disorganized reservation records, and the strain of manual paperwork on both employees and the owner. To address these problems, the researchers developed a Reservation Management System designed to streamline operations and organize reservation details more effectively. Through client interviews and system analysis, they identified inefficiencies in the current process and proposed targeted improvements. The system aims to provide a more convenient, accurate, and efficient experience for customers, staff, and the resort owner alike.
