Proficiency in Microsoft software is essential in modern workplaces, as it enhances adaptability, productivity, and job knowledge. However, many employees encounter challenges such as software complexity, limited training, and inconsistent performance. This study assesses the proficiency levels of employees at BFDE Walastik Internet Connection in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and examines whether demographic factors influence their proficiency. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed, with data collected through survey questionnaires from 25 employees. The study examined demographic factors such as age, gender, job position, length of service, and frequency of software usage. Statistical tools, including ANOVA and weighted mean, were employed to evaluate proficiency levels and analyze their relationship with the identified demographic variables. The findings indicate that most respondents (80%) were aged 25–35, with only 4% identifying as female. Microsoft Word (46.5%) was the most frequently used software, followed by Excel (39.5%) and PowerPoint (14%). Employees reported high proficiency levels in adaptability (M = 3.66), job knowledge (M = 3.71), and productivity (M = 3.70). However, ANOVA results revealed no significant relationship between proficiency levels and demographic factors, suggesting that training availability and personal motivation play a more critical role. The study concludes that demographic factors do not significantly influence Microsoft software proficiency. Instead, challenges such as software complexity (22.92%) and an overwhelming interface (19.79%) were found to impact efficiency. The study recommends implementing structured training programs, enhancing IT support, and improving software accessibility to boost proficiency. These measures can contribute to increased workplace productivity and the continued development of employees’ skills.
