Abstract

Employee productivity is crucial for a company's success, ensuring tasks are completed effectively, deadlines are met, and overall value is added to the organization. FICCO (First Community Cooperative) acknowledges the importance of employee productivity but faces challenges in optimizing workforce efficiency, particularly in areas such as workload, quality of output, meeting deadlines, and maintaining work-life balance. Despite adopting the ABC Method for task prioritization, the lack of a structured approach exacerbates these challenges, leading to employee overwhelm and inefficient resource allocation. To address this, FICCO proposes implementing the Eisenhower Matrix, a proven productivity tool, to streamline task management, enhance time allocation, and ultimately boost overall productivity among its employees. The research utilized a quantitative-descriptive methodology, employing a purposive sampling technique involving thirty-two (32) respondents from four branches of FICCO, aged 18 years and above. The researchers used an online survey questionnaire via Google Forms to gather insights for the study. The results from 32 respondents reveal diverse demographics, with 53% female and 47% male, and a range of ages, job positions, and tenures. Respondents highly agree that efficient workload management (weighted score of 3.8) using the Eisenhower Matrix improves productivity by prioritizing tasks. Quality output (weighted score of 3.7) with the matrix supporting work standards and expectations. Meeting deadlines (weighted score of 3.8) aided by efficient time management. Work-life balance also plays a significant role (weighted score of 3.6), improved coordination and time allocation. However, The matrix, a tool for managing tasks, faces challenges in integrating into digital tools and managing tasks, but can be customized for employee preferences. The researchers recommend implementing the Eisenhower Matrix at FICCO to boost employee productivity. This approach helps manage workload, prioritize tasks, and balance work-life needs more effectively. The matrix encourages employees to categorize tasks based on urgency and importance, fostering efficient decision-making and resource allocation. By adopting this method, FICCO can align tasks with strategic goals and empower employees to manage their work more effectively, ultimately improving organizational performance and productivity.
