Abstract

In recent years, Bestlink College of the Philippines has faced significant challenges in managing campus traffic and parking due to a lack of structured systems. The increasing number of vehicles driven by students and employees has led to congestion, disorganized parking, and delays in entry and exit within campus premises. Vehicles were often parked without order, occupying any available space, which further contributed to traffic inefficiencies. This study introduces a web-based school parking management system designed to streamline campus parking through digital automation, incorporating QR code payment and real-time ticketing features. The project followed the Agile Scrum methodology to allow for iterative development and continuous feedback from stakeholders. This approach supported the flexibility required for refining system functionalities based on user needs. Development focused on key components such as parking space monitoring, QR code payment integration, and real-time ticketing, ensuring adaptability and efficiency in school-wide deployment. The developed system effectively addressed the limitations of traditional parking management practices at Bestlink College. It streamlined record-keeping, reduced queue times, and enabled real-time tracking of parking space availability. The QR code payment system allowed for faster, cashless transactions, while the ticketing module ensured accurate and automated vehicle entry and exit logging. Evaluation results showed improvements in user convenience, monitoring accuracy, and operational efficiency, contributing to better resource utilization and revenue tracking. This project successfully developed a web-based parking management system that integrates QR code payment and real-time ticketing. The system mitigated key issues such as manual errors, congestion, and lack of transparency in parking operations. It introduced a reliable, user-friendly platform for both students and employees, enhancing the overall parking experience at the institution. Challenges encountered during development included system security and scalability, which offer opportunities for further enhancement. Future improvements may involve mobile app integration, dynamic space reservation, and advanced analytics for traffic prediction and parking optimization.
