This new program aims to provide leadership development opportunities for current students and offer enhanced transitional support services to incoming students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and other identities represented by the “+”. Schools should be safe and inclusive environments for all; however, LGBTQ+ individuals often face criticism and discrimination, especially in situations such as using restrooms where appropriate facilities are lacking. This lack of inclusive infrastructure and awareness can lead to mockery and marginalization, highlighting the need for greater education, discipline, and respect within the school community. Due to fear of ridicule and discrimination, many students of diverse gender identities often suppress their true feelings and experiences. The lack of gender-inclusive or "trinity" restrooms presents a significant barrier to inclusivity and conveys the message that LGBTQ+ students are not fully accepted or respected within the academic community. This study aims to promote the implementation of trinity restrooms to create a more inclusive, respectful, and welcoming school environment, particularly for students who identify as LGBTQ+. This initiative supports the college’s mission to deliver high-quality education within a safe and supportive atmosphere. A developmental quantitative research design was employed to gather insights from the participants. The study involved forty-seven (47) LGBTQ+ students from the Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences strand at Bestlink College of the Philippines. Using purposive sampling, data was collected through face-to-face administration of a structured survey questionnaire. The findings reveal that the implementation of trinity restrooms offers substantial benefits for LGBTQ+ students, particularly in terms of comfort, equality, and safety. Additionally, several respondents highlighted positive impacts on mental health, social acceptance, and accessibility. Participants also provided valuable suggestions to further improve the implementation of Trinity restrooms across multiple aspects. The discussion presents a summary of the findings regarding the benefits that LGBTQ+ students can gain from the implementation of trinity restrooms. It also outlines the action plans suggested by the participants. Additionally, the researchers provide conclusions and recommendations for promoting and expanding the implementation of trinity restrooms to foster a more inclusive and supportive school environment.
