Abstract

The transition from traditional paper-based to online enrollment systems has significantly influenced student experiences in higher education institutions. At Bestlink College of the Philippines, the online enrollment system was introduced to streamline administrative tasks and enhance accessibility for students. However, the extent to which this system satisfies students’ needs and expectations remains uncertain. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the online enrollment system in terms of accessibility, usability, technical support, efficiency, and overall student satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative research approach employing a descriptive-correlational design. A structured survey questionnaire was administered to fifty (50) randomly selected students from Bestlink College who have utilized the online enrollment system. The instrument was designed to measure perceived system performance and corresponding satisfaction levels. Statistical tools such as frequency distribution, weighted mean, and Pearson correlation coefficient were applied for data analysis and interpretation. The findings indicated that while the online enrollment system offers convenience and supports administrative efficiency, technical issues and limited user assistance affect its overall effectiveness. The correlation analysis revealed a weak relationship between enrollment system efficiency and student satisfaction. This suggests that student satisfaction may be influenced more by administrative support and communication practices than by the technical performance of the system alone. The study concludes that although the online enrollment system performs adequately across various functional areas, its influence on student satisfaction is limited. The results emphasize that institutions must not only focus on system functionality but also strengthen user assistance and administrative responsiveness. It is recommended that Bestlink College address the existing technical challenges and enhance user support to ensure a more satisfying enrollment experience for students.
