This study focuses on the development and validation of a proposed dress code policy for Bestlink College of the Philippines in Quezon City. Acknowledging the significance of institutional identity, professionalism, and inclusivity in higher education, the study aims to create a clear, acceptable, and valid dress code policy suited to the needs of the college community. Specifically, it seeks to (1) describe the demographic profile of respondents in terms of age, gender, years of experience, and educational attainment; (2) assess the level of validity of the proposed policy across multiple dimensions, including policy statement, objectives, scope, procedures, roles and responsibilities, definition of terms, disciplinary measures, review protocols, and implementation process; (3) determine the level of acceptability in terms of clarity, fairness, relevance, and communication; (4) identify whether demographic variables influence the level of acceptability; and (5) formulate a proposed dress code policy based on the findings. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative research design and employs purposive sampling, involving 20 human resource personnel from various higher education institutions. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire rated on a four-point scale to measure both the validity and acceptability of the proposed policy. The respondent profile revealed that 75% were female, 75% had 0–3 years of professional experience, and 80% were college graduates. The proposed dress code policy was rated as “Very Much Valid” across all measured criteria. It effectively outlined attire standards, promoted inclusivity, and aligned with institutional values and professional norms. Minor suggestions for enhancement included clearer visual aids, improved transparency in disciplinary measures, and strengthened communication strategies regarding policy enforcement. Statistical analysis showed no significant difference in policy acceptability based on respondents’ demographic profiles, indicating that the proposed policy was broadly inclusive and well-received. Based on the results, the researchers proposed a refined dress code policy that upholds professionalism and institutional identity while promoting respect, inclusiveness, and flexibility within the academic environment.
