ASSESSMENT ON THE IMPACT OF TRAFFIC ENFORCER’S PERFORMANCE IN BARANGAY 171, CALOOCAN CITY

Abstract

This research program seeks to examine the role and impact of traffic enforcers in regulating vehicular flow within Barangay 171. It focuses on assessing their contributions to traffic management, the challenges they face in daily operations, and the prevailing attitudes of both enforcers and community members. By exploring these key aspects, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of traffic enforcement and offer insights for improving traffic governance and community engagement. This study employed a quantitative research approach to assess the impact of traffic enforcers' performance. Specifically, it aimed to evaluate their involvement in managing and controlling the flow of traffic in Barangay 171, Caloocan City. The researchers adopted a descriptive research design to gather relevant data, utilizing a structured survey questionnaire in the form of a checklist as the primary data collection instrument. The findings indicate that respondents strongly agreed with the assessment of traffic enforcers' performance in Barangay 171, Caloocan City, particularly to vehicle volume, training, logistical support, and overall management. The results highlight the potential for traffic enforcers, with the support of barangay officials, to be further empowered in understanding and implementing effective traffic control measures. Strengthening this collaboration may lead to enhanced traffic management strategies and a noticeable reduction in traffic congestion in the area. Traffic enforcement officers play a vital role in maintaining road safety and regulating the smooth flow of traffic. Their responsibilities include ensuring that all road users adhere to traffic laws and ordinances. In the performance of their duties, they are authorized to apprehend violators and issue traffic citations to motorists who fail to comply. By effectively managing traffic movement and enforcing road regulations, traffic enforcers contribute significantly to reducing congestion and preventing accidents.
