Abstract

Tofu Glazed is a plant-based food business located on Saranay Road, Barangay 171, Caloocan City, offering affordable and flavorful tofu dishes tailored to students, professionals, and health-conscious individuals. In response to the growing demand for healthier food options, the business aims to redefine tofu as a delicious everyday choice through its unique glazes, including Salted Egg, Garlic Parmesan, and Spiced Honey. Guided by its mission to promote nutritious yet affordable meals, Tofu Glazed envisions becoming a top-tier brand in the plant-based food industry. The business plan was developed through a comprehensive approach that included a feasibility study, financial forecasting, product development, and market analysis. Demographic, geographic, and psychographic segmentation were applied to clearly define the target audience. A competitive analysis was conducted to assess both direct and indirect competitors. Financial statements, including cost analysis, a cost-plus pricing strategy, and return on investment calculations, were created to evaluate business viability.  Promotional strategies include social media campaigns, grand opening events, and a customer loyalty program. Operational planning covers staffing roles, workflow procedures, and layout design to ensure efficiency in daily operations. With an initial capital of ₱50,000 contributed by eleven co-owners, Tofu Glazed developed a structured organizational plan and a targeted marketing strategy to position itself as a niche plant-based food brand. The menu features three tofu dish variants priced at ₱55 each, complemented by flavored sodas and optional rice add-ons. Financial projections indicate a 75% return on investment within six months, supported by sustainable daily operations from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A location analysis confirmed the business’s strategic placement near SM Caloocan and the University of Caloocan City, ensuring high foot traffic and strong visibility. Tofu Glazed fills a market gap by offering flavorful, affordable, and healthy meals tailored especially for plant-based consumers. Its strategic pricing, unique menu, and strong social media presence provide a competitive edge over traditional meat-based and snack-oriented food businesses. With accessible offerings, sustainable practices, and a commitment to community engagement, the business is well-positioned for steady growth in the fast-evolving food industry.
