Abstract

Lip glosses are liquid lipsticks and are popular with younger customers who want sheer
coverage and wet-looking lips, and this study aims to determine the effects of aloe vera and
calendula flower extracts on their formation.

The dermatologist got an overall weighted mean of 3.40, which is highly acceptable. The
chemist got an overall weighted mean of 3.15 as acceptable, and lastly, the consumer got a
3.3 as acceptable in the overall assessment on the level of acceptability of aloe vera and
calendula flowers as alternative lipglosses. Based on the results of the study show that there
is a significant difference between the assessments of the three groups of respondents; the
results for the overall assessment of Aloe vera and calendula flowers show that there is a
significant difference between the assessments of the three groups of respondents.

The researchers encountered several problems during the development of lip gloss, such as
collecting all of the ingredients, trial and error, and changing procedures. Dermatologists,
chemists, and consumers recommended including vitamin E oil, choosing the right
combination of ingredients, avoiding using too much oil, and a secure environment for carrying
out the experiment. There was a significant difference between the assessments of the two
groups of respondents on the level of acceptability of lip gloss, and the suggestions and
recommendations given by Dermatologists and cosmetologists are essential to further
improve lip gloss.
