Level of Satisfaction of Second and Third-Year Psychology Students Towards Blended Learning Modality at Bestlink College of the Philippines

Abstract

Blended learning is a method of teaching that combines face-to-face instruction with computer
-mediated instruction. It is becoming increasingly popular due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and
Bestlink College of the Philippines implemented online classes using gadgets such as cell
phones, tablets, laptops, and internet connections. It is gaining attention in the field of
education due to its promise of effectively teaching in a way that suits student learning styles.
The Philippine government has implemented distance learning to maintain the pace of global
education. Blended learning (BL) and online delivery (OL) are used by many universities to
embrace the new challenges in higher education. Satisfaction with blended learning can lead
to performance improvements, and this research aims to investigate students' level of learning
satisfaction with the blended learning modality. The main objective is to find out the spaces for
improvement when it comes to continuing this learning goal.

1. The Learning Environment is revealed to be very satisfactory when it comes to the Level of
Satisfaction of 2nd- and 3rd-year Psychology students. 2. The results of most challenges
encountered by 2nd and 3rd-year Psychology students are the distraction from social media
and other chores. 3. In reality, all the student learners preferred the same learning method,
which is the Traditional (face-to-face) classes and online classes. 4. Students' satisfaction has
been acknowledged as an important factor in order to estimate the effectiveness of a course,
especially in blended learning modality.

The results and analysis indicate that most of the respondents are aged 17-26 years. Old with
a percentage of 96. As to respondents’ sex, it shows that female respondents with 81 percent
are more dominant than male respondents. At the same time, 79 percent of second-year
students participated in data gathering. In addition, the result shows that students in both year
levels learned best when the lessons were taught face-to-face, and although there are some
obstacles in online learning, it still appears in the result that the implementation of blended
learning comes out as very satisfactory.
