The most important details in this text are the importance of personal hygiene in Hospitality
and Management. Being hygienic is essential for the Hospitality Program at Bestlink College
of the Philippines, as it will help to avoid conflict and prevent food poisoning. Additionally,
having proper etiquette and discipline in hygiene will keep everyone safe, especially in the
hospitality Industry, which is the focus of this study. Therefore, it is important to take personal
hygiene seriously to avoid consequences.
The majority of respondents are from Bestlink College of the Philippines students of
Hospitality Management, with male respondents ranking 28th and female respondents 22nd.
Table 4 shows that respondents are mostly at the 3rd year level of Bachelor of Science in
Hospitality Management, while rank one is reserved for the 4th year level. Personal hygiene
practices in Hospitality Management Students include putting a handkerchief in the nose and
mouth when sneezing, always sanitizing hands, bathing regularly, wearing a face mask and
face shield, and staying in the house when sick. Safety is more important than physical and
self-care in practicing personal hygiene, with a mean of 3.69.
It suggests that students should build a habit of understanding how to maintain proper
hygiene, implement it among school staff and administration, increase standards for personal
hygiene in every section of the school, allow students to influence one another and propagate
those practices, and allow students to encourage and inspire others to do the same. These
recommendations are based on the totality of outcomes rather than the conclusions or
recommendations drawn from them.
