Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the impact of wearing indecent clothes on sexual
crimes in Barangay Pasong Putik Quezon City.

The researchers found that the major problems within their mental and emotional condition
were experiencing sexual intent, criticism, and street harassment. On the basis of such
findings, recommendations were formulated: police officers should provide additional Patrols
for remote areas. Barangay Pasong Putik should create a poster or tarpaulin for the
information campaigns for the Anti-catcalling law to increase awareness for women and
improve security and protection. Through the process of this study, the researchers were able
to see the victims' perspective and how they encountered this problem and create proposed
measures to address the issues of wearing indecent clothes resulting in sexual crimes.
Clothes are not an invitation for sexual satisfaction. Women must wear clothes without the fear
of being sexually violated by touching unwantedly. Without the fear of criticism for calling a
prostitute. Also, by preventing crimes in terms of street harassment. Women must feel safe
and confident by wearing clothes they are comfortable with without the fear of being criticized
and sexually assaulted. Local government, PNP, Barangay Pasong Putik, and even citizens
must create and promote awareness for women regarding wearing indecent clothes resulting
from sexual crimes.
