Abstract

A canteen is a location where food can be purchased, served, and consumed. The individuals
that manage the canteen are known as the staff or personnel. They are in charge of keeping
the building in good shape so that the students can feel comfortable using it, but they all have
the responsibility of keeping their students as their main consumers. Providing quality food
services through proper maintenance and observing proper hygiene is a must, especially
since they are the main source of food inside the school premises.

In the study, there is no significant relationship between student satisfaction when the
demographic profile is considered. Based on the study’s outcome, it revealed that the biggest
problem encountered by the respondents is the lack of fans and ventilation. Based on the
study’s findings, the respondents recommend expanding the insufficient space for the
students with appropriate fans and ventilation.

The school admin should focus on the number of staff in order to maintain the cleanliness and
appearance of the school canteen. The schedule of the school canteen should be strictly
monitored to avoid overcrowding. The school canteen should separate its location from other
school facilities in order to avoid unnecessary noise that can affect the diners while eating. The students can benefit from this research to understand and be more knowledgeable about
the problem of the canteen. The proposed study will benefit and assist the future as their guide
to the development of the canteen.
