Assessment on Effectiveness of Physical Fitness and Wellness Program in Improving Physical Fitness of Grade 12 ABM Students in Bestlink College of the Philippines

The study aims to improve the physical fitness of grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM)students. Being physically fit enough is important to do the daily tasks and activities. The importance of this study is for them to be aware of the conditions of their health and body. The study also aims to encourage all Grade 12 ABM students to enhance their physical fitness by practicing physical fitness and wellness program. The researchers used quasi-experimental research design because it applies to this study where it involves the manipulation of the independent variable to observe the effect on the dependent variable. The respondents of the study were 50Grade 12 ABM students that were selected through quota sampling. Based on the results of the study, practicing Physical Fitness Wellness Program improved the physical fitness of Grade 12 ABM students in terms of (1) physically fit body (height/weight, a physically fit body improves the condition the body condition of the students to become more physically fit to do their daily tasks well without undue fatigue), (2) healthy body (strong immune system, a healthy body has a positive effect to the students because their overall health condition has improved and helps them to prevent diseases and illnesses), and (3) flexibility and adaptability (productivity and energy, the students encourage themselves to be physically fit enough and live in a healthy lifestyle). It helps them to become more active in their class. The researchers suggested that being physically fit is important because it will help the students to do their tasks well. Students must have time to check the condition of their health and body. Students must always be aware of the condition of their bodies. Being healthy is also extremely important because it can prevent us from having any illness and disease. Practicing a healthy lifestyle can also give us a longer life.
