Abstract

Campaigns to raise public awareness of the dangers of riding while intoxicated played a significant role in increasing awareness of this issue. These public awareness campaigns seek to inform people about the risks of driving under the influence, such as diminished judgment, slowed reaction times, and a higher chance of collisions. The goal of these campaigns is to deter people from driving while intoxicated by emphasizing the possible negative effects of doing so. Public awareness campaigns also frequently inform the public about other modes of transportation, like ride-sharing services or designated drivers, in order to promote responsible decision-making. When it comes to encouraging safe driving habits and lowering the number of accidents involving drunk drivers, these campaigns are essential. The researchers employed a random sampling technique to provide the respondents with an unbiased approach. There were twenty (20) barangay police, fifteen (15) residents, and fifteen (15) drivers from Barangay 179, Amparo, North Caloocan City, who participated in this sampling. To demonstrate the study's legitimacy, the respondents were carefully selected. According to the findings, attempts to raise public awareness about drunk driving have been successful in lowering the number of accidents caused by alcohol. Public awareness initiatives can be used to inform the public about the dangers of drunk driving, including the potential for collisions, injuries, and fines. The results of this study on the effects of public awareness campaigns on drunk driving in Barangay 179 Amparo, North Caloocan City, also offer suggestions that the barangay police, residents, and drivers can follow. These include using social media and other digital platforms to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving.
