Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into research has revolutionized the way studies are conducted, improving efficiency and providing access to a wealth of online resources. However, this shift also introduces challenges such as over-reliance on technology, privacy and security concerns, compatibility issues, and ethical dilemmas. To overcome these challenges, researchers can implement solutions such as comprehensive training programs, robust security protocols, and initiatives that promote inclusive access. These strategies aim to optimize the advantages of ICT while safeguarding the integrity and accuracy of research findings. The study emphasizes the importance of instructors being equipped with the skills to effectively use technology, design engaging lessons, and address students' diverse needs. This research employs a quantitative descriptive methodology to evaluate the impact of ICT integration on the research subject for Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. This study explores several factors, including data gathering, learning style, time management, learning efficiency, student motivation, and computer literacy, to assess the impact of ICT integration in research subjects. The research involved 150 Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students from Bestlink College of the Philippines, selected using a simple random sampling method and a descriptive-quantitative research design. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire, which provided valuable insights into the students' perspectives and experiences. The responses were analyzed using a Likert scale, ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree, to evaluate the overall effects of ICT integration on students’ learning experiences. The results revealed several key factors, including data gathering, learning style, and time management, with the impact of using ICT-integrated materials in research subjects yielding an overall mean of 3.45, indicating a "strongly agree" response. Furthermore, respondents strongly agreed with the benefits of integrating ICT in research subjects, reflected in an overall mean of 3.48. These findings suggest that the use of ICT in research education significantly enhances students' ability to gather data efficiently, cater to diverse learning styles, and improve time management skills, thereby contributing to a more effective learning experience. The incorporation of mentoring programs and active parental support plays a key role in enhancing time management skills among students and employees. These initiatives provide essential guidance and encouragement, helping individuals develop effective strategies to prioritize tasks, set achievable goals, and allocate their time efficiently. Mentoring programs, in particular, offer personalized support, which helps students and employees manage their responsibilities more effectively, avoid multitasking, and focus on their most important tasks.  In addition, active parental involvement can reinforce these skills by fostering an environment of accountability and responsibility. When parents actively engage in their children's time management practices, it creates a supportive framework that encourages better organization, discipline, and focus. This collaboration between students and parents can significantly improve academic performance and contribute to the development of lifelong time management habits.  By integrating these strategies into both academic and professional settings, students and employees are better equipped to balance their responsibilities, resulting in improved productivity, reduced stress, and greater success. Educational institutions and organizations play a vital role in fostering these practices, ensuring that individuals are prepared to meet the demands of their studies and careers. Ultimately, the emphasis on effective time management not only enhances individual performance but also cultivates a more organized and efficient approach to achieving long-term personal and professional goals.
