Abstract

Effective teaching strategies are essential in enhancing student learning and academic performance, particularly in specialized strands such as Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS). At Bestlink College of the Philippines, educators continually seek methods that resonate with students' diverse learning preferences and contribute to their overall success.  This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of various teaching strategies employed by selected HUMSS teachers at Bestlink College of the Philippines. By examining these strategies, the research seeks to identify their impact on student engagement, comprehension, and academic achievement. Understanding the correlation between teaching methods and student outcomes is crucial for educators striving to foster an environment that promotes critical thinking, cultural awareness, and social responsibility among students.  Through a comprehensive analysis of current teaching practices, this study endeavors to provide insights that can inform future instructional approaches, ensuring that HUMSS students receive a quality education tailored to their needs and aspirations. To assess the effectiveness of teaching strategies employed by Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) teachers at Bestlink College of the Philippines, a mixed-methods research design will be utilized. This approach integrates both qualitative and quantitative research methods, providing a comprehensive understanding of teaching practices and their impact on student learning. Research on the effectiveness of teaching strategies employed by Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) teachers at Bestlink College of the Philippines reveals several impactful findings:  1. Impact of Teaching Strategies on Academic Performance:  A study focusing on Grade 12 General Academic Strand students found that teachers' instructional methods significantly influenced students' academic outcomes.
