STUDY OF FIRE INCIDENCE IN NOVALICHES, QUEZON CITY. BASIS FOR SAFETY AWARENESS

This chapter presents the background of the study, related literature and studies, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, statement of the problem, assumptions, scope and delimitations of the study, significance of the study, and definitions of terms. This chapter presents the research design, respondents of the study, sampling techniques, research instruments, validation of the instruments, administration and retrieval of the instruments, and the statistical treatment of data. From the results of this study, fire incidents in Novaliches, Quezon City, serve as a basis for safety awareness, fire education, fire drills, and residents’ cooperation. The interpretation is "Strongly Agree." The problem encountered is that fire officers educate the public about fire hazards, home safety precautions, and the value of emergency evacuation plans through community seminars and awareness campaigns. This is an action proposed to address the problem. This study recommends that to improve their capabilities and knowledge during fire events and reduce property loss and casualties, personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection, in collaboration with Fire Sub-Stations and barangay leaders, should conduct and give seminars throughout the barangay communities. The researcher would like to recommend the measures proposed to address the problems encountered in the study of fire incidents in Novaliches, Quezon City, as a basis for fire safety awareness.
