This study assesses the Vertical Transition System (VTS) at McDonald’s Charbel, Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City, focusing on service, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. The research aims to identify common errors encountered by employees when using the VTS during operations. The study also seeks to provide relevant insights into the system’s functionality and efficiency, contributing to future research. The researchers sought permission from management through a formal letter to collect employee data. A quantitative research design was utilized to evaluate employees' perceptions of the VTS's operational efficiency. The study involved 50 employees from McDonald’s Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City, selected using a simple random sampling technique to ensure reliable statistical inferences. The primary research tool was a questionnaire, consisting of structured inquiries designed to gather data from respondents regarding their experiences with the VTS. The VTS operation was rated as very effective in service, with a weighted mean score ranging from 3.70 to 3.78, indicating that employees find it responsive to vertical transition needs. In terms of maintenance, the VTS was also rated very effective, with a score of 3.66, emphasizing user-friendly maintenance procedures. Cleanliness was similarly rated high at 3.68, with respondents recognizing the proper handling of quality products. Lastly, the VTS in safety received a score of 3.62, highlighting the presence of clear and effective emergency response protocols. The study found that most employees are 21-25 years old, with a majority being female. The VTS meets operational standards in service, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. However, employees reported challenges related to limited capacity when using the VTS machine. To optimize operations, McDonald's should rearrange the VTS layout to minimize errors and enhance workflow, ensuring smoother and more efficient operations.
