Abstract

An international provider of IT services and solutions is Unisys Managed Services Corporation. In particular, Unisys Managed Services Corporation specializes in providing managed services to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). It's possible that Unisys Managed Services Corporation provides a range of managed services that are customized to match the unique demands and specifications of its customers, enabling them to concentrate on their main business goals and optimize their IT operations. For improvement, the researchers will investigate how employees perceive the perks or gain a better understanding of them in the personnel agency. The perks are crucial for employees to establish workplace productivity, therefore there needs to be more communication between the business and employees to ensure that everyone is working toward the same objectives. A descriptive study design using a quantitative research method to assess the advantages of workers in the manpower agency, specifically Unisys Managed Services Company, as the foundation for its enhancement. The study examines employees aged 26 to 30 at Unisys Managed Services Corporation, specifically those in the evaluation period with 1 to 5 years of experience as Registry System Officers. Key findings include:  Wage Adjustments:  Respondents strongly favor wage adjustments, viewing them as essential for enhancing performance. However, salaries at Unisys are reported to be below the national average. In the Philippines, minimum wage rates vary by region, with Metro Manila's non-agricultural daily rate at ₱645 as of July 2024. Specific salary data for Unisys employees is not publicly available.   Working Conditions and Rest Periods:  Enhanced working conditions and sufficient rest periods are deemed vital for fostering a positive workplace, which can improve performance and productivity. The Philippine Labor Code mandates a minimum of 24 consecutive hours of rest after six consecutive workdays, and employers are required to provide at least 60 minutes for regular meal periods.  Salary Concerns:  The primary concern among employees is inadequate wages, with many salaries not meeting the minimum wage requirements. This issue has led to dissatisfaction and prompted some employees to seek better opportunities elsewhere. Ensuring compliance with minimum wage laws is crucial for employee retention and satisfaction.  Challenges in Attracting Job Seekers:  Manpower agencies, including Unisys, face significant challenges in attracting job seekers. Factors such as low starting salaries and limited benefits contribute to this difficulty. Addressing these issues requires a comprehensive approach, including competitive compensation, improved working conditions, and effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent.  Addressing these challenges is essential for Unisys Managed Services Corporation to enhance employee satisfaction, attract qualified candidates, and comply with labor regulations. This study investigates employees' perceptions of the benefits provided by manpower agencies, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research methods to identify areas of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. The findings highlight several key aspects:  1. Health and Well-being Benefits:  Employees highly value benefits that support their health and well-being, such as Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and wellness allowances. Comprehensive EAPs offering access to mental health professionals and counseling services have been linked to improved employee engagement and retention.    2. Work-Life Balance Initiatives:  Flexible work arrangements, including options like working from home, flexible hours, and reduced workweeks, are highly appreciated by employees. Such flexibility can significantly reduce turnover, enhancing job satisfaction and productivity. Wikipedia  3. Career Development Opportunities:  Support for career growth, such as assistance with study fees, paid study leave, and opportunities for job shadowing, is important to employees. Providing ample training and development opportunities can discourage turnover by keeping employees satisfied and well-positioned for future growth. Wikipedia  4. Financial and Retirement Planning:  Benefits that aid in financial planning, including retirement savings plans and financial counseling, are valued by employees. Employers can enhance retention by offering competitive compensation packages and linking rewards to retention, such as vacation hours tied to seniority or retention bonuses.    5. Recognition and Reward Programs:  Employees respond positively to recognition and reward initiatives, such as performance bonuses and employee of the month programs. Investing in bonus and employee perks programs has been shown to increase employee engagement and reduce turnover.
