ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM FOR BARANGAY 177 MARIA LUISA

Abstract

The Barangay Online Application System is a digital platform designed for Barangay 177, Maria Luisa, to offer a simpler and more convenient method for requesting application documents like certification forms, cedula, barangay clearance, business permit acquisition, and indigency certificates. This system will aid barangay residents by enabling them to obtain application forms without needing to go to the barangay hall and endure lengthy lines. This system would assist barangay personnel in minimizing the manual application process, thereby accelerating the application timeline and enhancing the accuracy of record-keeping. The creation process of the Barangay Online Application System followed a software development life cycle (SDLC) utilizing a waterfall model comprising seven stages: system planning, data analysis, system development, system design, system testing, system implementation, and system maintenance. The researchers established the requirements through an interview. After the interview process, the researchers examined the data they collected from the interview to develop a comprehensive system design. Throughout the system development process, the researchers utilized various software applications, including Visual Studio for coding and debugging, XAMPP for server management, and MySQL Workbench for database handling. This system aims to simplify the application form request process by offering an intuitive interface and helpful features, including the capability to access necessary details from the barangay citizen's profile and auto-populate them. This implies that barangay residents are not required to input their basic information manually since the application form handles it. This feature will aid in simplifying the procedure, guaranteeing that applications are handled quickly, effectively, and smoothly. The Capstone Project, titled Online Application System for Barangay 177 Maria Luisa, seeks to offer an easy application procedure for the residents of Barangay 177 Maria Luisa. This would advantage both barangay employees and residents, as it would be automated and completed in an orderly fashion. Additionally, this system will lessen the burden on barangay personnel tasked with handling their applications, leading to a more efficient, quicker, and easier experience for all parties involved.
