Abstract

The Library System is a web-based library monitoring system designed to streamline the process of acquiring new books, organizing them according to their assigned call numbers, and tracking book borrowing and returning. Trinitas College, founded in 1992 by Mrs. Trinitas F. Canlas, currently manages its library using a manual procedure. Registered as a non-stock educational foundation in 1993, Trinitas College offers special education programs and levels from preschool to senior high school. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall Model was used in developing the Library System. This model consists of seven phases: system planning, data analysis, system design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Researchers conducted interviews with the client to identify challenges and develop solutions. The system was designed according to the client's needs, using XAMPP for server and database management and Visual Studio for coding. The implementation of the Library System has significantly improved library management. The system efficiently records and stores book data, enhancing security. It streamlines borrowing and returning processes, while also facilitating faster and more convenient book searches and monitoring. Trinitas College faced difficulties in managing book records and user history due to manual processes. To address this issue, the researchers developed a Library System that secures and organizes library data. Interviews with the client provided insights into their workflow, guiding system development. While the system currently has limited features, future enhancements are planned to further improve functionality and usability.
