Abstract

This study examines the level of effectiveness of teachers' instructional styles in influencing the academic performance of Grade 6 students at Tandang Sora Elementary School. The research seeks to evaluate different teaching methods and their impact on student learning. It also aims to address key questions, including the demographic profile of teachers, instructional strategies used, their effectiveness on student performance, challenges encountered by students, and potential development plans for enhancing academic outcomes. This study employed a descriptive research design, involving 25 Grade 6 teachers from Tandang Sora Elementary School as respondents. Data collection methods included observations, which captured daily classroom interactions, and informal interviews conducted before, during, and after lessons to gain insights into teachers' instructional strategies. A questionnaire was also utilized to assess various aspects of student motivation and learning styles. The research focused exclusively on Grade 6 teachers, aiming to identify the most effective teaching methodologies used in classroom instruction. The study analyzed demographic data of respondents and assessed how different instructional styles influenced student engagement and learning outcomes. It also explored students' learning preferences and identified key challenges in academic performance. This study highlights the relationship between instructional techniques and academic performance among Grade 6 students. By examining teaching strategies, learning preferences, and the challenges faced, the research provides insights into improving teaching practices and enhancing the overall educational experience for both students and educators.
