Abstract

Student organizations are student-led groups within educational institutions, such as schools and universities, designed to pursue shared interests, hobbies, and objectives. These organizations provide students with valuable opportunities to develop essential skills, such as leadership, communication, and teamwork, which contribute to their personal growth and future success. Active participation in student organizations has been linked to increased engagement, enhanced social networks, and a deeper sense of community. However, students often face challenges when balancing their academic responsibilities with extracurricular commitments, such as poor time management, which can hinder their involvement and overall academic performance. This study aims to explore the level of involvement of senior high school students at Bestlink College of the Philippines in student organizations, identify the benefits they gain from participation, and examine the challenges they face in managing both academic and extracurricular activities. This study follows a quantitative research design and uses simple random sampling to collect data from sixty senior high school students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. A structured questionnaire was used as the primary data collection instrument to gather information about the students' involvement in student organizations. The questionnaire aimed to assess the extent of student participation, the benefits they derive, and the challenges they face in managing both academic responsibilities and extracurricular commitments. The findings reveal that a subset of senior high school students at Bestlink College of the Philippines shows a high level of engagement in student organizations, particularly in terms of commitment, seniority, and time management. Participation in these organizations contributes to their personal growth, social interaction, and success in extracurricular activities. The findings on the involvement of selected senior high school students at Bestlink College of the Philippines in student organizations. It emphasizes key aspects such as commitment, seniority, and time management, as well as the positive impacts on personal development, social interaction, and extracurricular accomplishments. Additionally, the discussion includes the conclusions drawn from the results and offers recommendations to students engaged in student organizations, aiming to enhance their involvement and manage their academic and extracurricular commitments more effectively.
