Parking plays a vital role in both public and private establishments, ensuring organized vehicle management. With technological advancements, parking systems can be further improved through automation. Modern parking solutions, particularly those utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology, enhance efficiency and security. The Automated Parking System and Monitoring aims to provide a streamlined and automated approach to parking space management using an Arduino microcontroller and RFID module. This study used the Experimental Prototyping Method, integrating 2D and 3D design to illustrate the system. Microcontrollers and sensors were used to regulate security surveillance, detect driver details, and automate parking operations by identifying available spaces. The system updates parking status upon vehicle detection, and in cases of fraudulent RFID card use, an alert is sent to the administrator. The researchers applied the Purposive Sampling Method, utilizing a 4-Point Likert Scale to gather data from 33 tenants and vehicle owners at Bistek Ville, Quezon City. The prototype testing demonstrated successful system functionality, with the Arduino UNO serving as the main microcontroller. The system integrated an IoT-based monitoring feature via the Blynk application to provide real-time parking information. The study successfully implemented four microcontrollers, an RFID module for vehicle identification, infrared sensors for detecting incoming vehicles, an LCD module for system display, and a servo motor for automated gate control. The Automated Parking System and Monitoring using the Arduino UNO microcontroller and RFID module proved to be an effective and innovative parking solution. It enhances efficiency by reducing search time for parking spaces while incorporating security features such as surveillance cameras and RFID authentication. The Blynk application provides users with real-time parking availability through an internet connection. The system meets its objectives and aligns with user expectations in terms of automation and security.
