Abstract

The study seeks to assess the accounting systems of Bestlink College of the Philippines, identifying key strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for enhancement. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive research approach, it collects and analyzes measurable data to evaluate the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of the institution's financial processes. The results will serve as a foundation for recommending improvements to optimize financial management and operational efficiency. The study utilized a quantitative research approach, employing data collection methods such as surveys, inventories, and questionnaires. A descriptive research design was implemented to analyze existing issues, providing a thorough assessment of the current situation. This approach enables a more detailed understanding of the subject by systematically gathering and interpreting relevant data. 1. The findings reveal that among the 100 BSOA student respondents, 15% are male, while 85% are female. The study assessed the accounting procedures at Bestlink College of the Philippines, focusing on receipts, payments, and purchases. Results indicate that students find the clarity of receipts, particularly regarding newly introduced fees, somewhat satisfactory. Similarly, the accuracy of data encoding by accounting personnel is perceived as moderately reliable.  Furthermore, the study highlights seven major challenges encountered by students in relation to accounting services: inconsistent implementation of the "no noon break" policy, irregular queue management system, overcrowding during peak hours, concerns regarding professionalism and fairness, separate payment requirements for books and uniforms apart from miscellaneous fees, a shortage of accounting personnel, and recurring system errors. Addressing these issues can contribute to a more efficient and student-friendly accounting service. The Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program is predominantly composed of female students, accounting for 85% of the population. This trend suggests a stronger inclination among women toward office-related roles and structured administrative tasks.  The study reveals that the accounting procedures at Bestlink College of the Philippines are generally well-organized and adhere to specific protocols. However, students exhibit only moderate satisfaction with various aspects of their financial transactions, including payment methods, encoding accuracy, and the process of purchasing books and uniforms.  To enhance student experience, it is essential to assess their overall feedback and sentiments regarding the accounting services. Gaining insights into their concerns will facilitate informed decision-making and the implementation of improvements to better accommodate student needs and expectations.
