ASSESSMENT OF SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS OF FOURTH YEAR TOURISM STUDENTS: BASIS FOR STUDENTS’ REFERENCE

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of seminars and workshops attended by fourth-year tourism students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. The assessment focuses on leadership, communication, flexibility, problem-solving, and employability skills. A descriptive research design was utilized, involving 50 fourth-year tourism students from Bestlink College of the Philippines. Findings indicate that students who positively assess seminars and workshops tend to attend them more frequently. The assessment received a "Strongly Agree" rating in leadership, communication, flexibility, problem-solving, and employability. Additionally, challenges encountered during these activities were addressed, and a graphical representation was created to serve as a reference for students. The study highlights that students who perceive seminars and workshops positively are more likely to participate in them regularly. Assessing these activities is essential in understanding students' experiences and identifying areas for improvement. Enhancing and developing students' skills through these events will contribute to their professional growth and employability.
