A STUDY OF MOTIVATION TOWARDS A LIVED EXPERIENCE OF BSTM PROFESSIONALS: BASIS FOR A PROPOSED EMERGING GUIDE

This survey research aimed to explore the motivations behind the lived experiences of BSTM professionals, serving as a foundation for a proposed emerging guide. The study was guided by well-formulated research questions. The population consisted of tourism professionals, with 15 participants selected through purposive sampling. The researcher conducted the study with individuals actively working in the tourism industry. The researchers employed a mixed-methods approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Surveys and experiments were used to collect quantitative data, including numerical metrics such as age, scores, and percentages. To gain deeper insights into the research subject, qualitative data were gathered through interviews and focus groups, capturing non-numerical indicators such as beliefs, motivations, attitudes, and experiences. Mixed-methods research is widely used in behavioral, health, and social sciences, as it provides a comprehensive understanding by combining numerical and non-numerical data. Based on the findings, the study proposed an emerging guide for BSTM professionals that can be used to enhance motivation, promote career satisfaction and faster professional development. One's behavior is guided by motivation, a set of forces that operate behind the motives. Achieving high levels of success depends on developing the motivation necessary for purposeful practice over time.
