Abstract

The School Management System (SMS) is designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of educational institutions by integrating various administrative functions into a single platform. The system primarily focuses on faculty loading, online submission tracking, schedule monitoring, and classroom management. By streamlining these processes, the SMS aims to reduce administrative workload, improve faculty scheduling, and optimize resource allocation.

With online submission tracking, the system ensures that submissions are timely and successfully recorded. Meanwhile, schedule monitoring facilitates the optimal use of classroom resources and tools by enabling better planning and management of schedules. Agile Scrum is a project management framework designed to handle complex projects through teamwork and adaptability. Work is divided into short, focused periods called sprints, typically lasting 2 to 4 weeks, each delivering usable parts of the product. The Product Owner prioritizes tasks, the Scrum Master facilitates the process and removes obstacles, and the Development Team builds the software.

Key tools include the product backlog (a prioritized list of requirements), sprint backlog (tasks for the current sprint), and the increment (the working product delivered after each sprint). Daily stand-up meetings address immediate concerns, sprint planning defines goals, sprint reviews gather stakeholder feedback, and retrospectives focus on continuous process improvement. The system functions efficiently by automatically setting up classrooms and schedules, aligning with instructor preferences while significantly reducing manual work. Online submissions and document tracking securely store every file, allowing quick retrieval whenever needed. The schedule monitoring report provides department heads with clear, up-to-date information about room assignments. Additionally, classroom management prevents double bookings and maximizes the use of available space. The results demonstrate that the system effectively addresses major scheduling and room management challenges. The "Auto Room" tool enhances accuracy and speeds up the process, while online features simplify usage and tracking. However, users must enter accurate information to avoid technical issues. Overall, the system supports faculty and classroom operations efficiently and can be easily expanded to accommodate more complex requirements.
