Abstract

The Travel and Tourism Management System is designed to facilitate global tour bookings with greater efficiency. Through our research, we observed that many companies in the travel industry still rely on manual operations, resulting in inefficiencies and delays. This study focuses on streamlining essential processes such as passport and visa applications, optimizing travel schedules and pricing, enhancing customer relationship management, and improving the workflow of account executives within the travel and tour sector. Furthermore, the system integrates an AI-powered feature that enables clients to generate customized trip plans based on their preferences and budget, addressing the current lack of intuitive interfaces that support personalized and cost-effective travel planning. This research adopts the Agile Scrum methodology, enabling iterative development and continuous user feedback to enhance system functionality. The system was developed using Vue.js for the front-end, facilitating the creation of responsive and dynamic user interfaces. Laravel, an open-source PHP web framework, was used for back-end development to ensure robust application logic and scalability. Tailwind CSS was implemented for efficient and modern styling, while MySQL served as the database management system. To enable seamless communication between system modules, a RESTful API architecture was integrated. Additionally, TensorFlow powered the AI-based Travel Planner, which streamlines customer inquiry handling by suggesting customized tours based on user preferences and budget, improving user experience and decision-making efficiency. The implemented system enhances the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module by efficiently tracking customer interactions, booking history, and feedback, which facilitates personalized recommendations and strengthens customer engagement. It digitizes and automates application, validation, and documentation workflows, thereby improving processing speed and accuracy. Client interactions are automated, customer data is systematically tracked, and a centralized interface is provided for account executives to manage customer relations effectively. The system also incorporates dynamic pricing and real-time scheduling updates, ensuring customers receive accurate information on tour availability and rates. A key feature is the AI-driven Travel Planner, which empowers customers to customize their tours while simplifying decision-making by suggesting suitable destinations based on their preferences. The outcomes demonstrate the successful implementation of the system’s key modules, underscoring their importance in streamlining travel and tour management processes. The study emphasizes the necessity for continuous innovation in travel and tour management systems to adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. However, challenges such as user adaptation and the need for frequent system updates were identified, highlighting areas that require ongoing attention to ensure sustained effectiveness and user satisfaction.
