This study examines the perceptions of Grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) students regarding safety and security at Bestlink College of the Philippines. It assesses existing security concerns and evaluates the effectiveness of safety protocols within the school environment. By identifying issues related to the school area, student safety, and academic performance, the study aims to provide relevant data to inform administrators and support the enhancement of security policies and practices. A descriptive-evaluative quantitative research design was employed to assess the perceptions of 133 Grade 11 HUMSS students. Using quota sampling, data were collected through validated survey questionnaires reviewed by subject matter experts for content accuracy and clarity. Surveys were administered and retrieved in person to ensure the reliability and integrity of the collected data. Analysis of the data revealed that concerns related to the school area (25.75%) and student safety (28.17%) were the most pressing issues, as identified by the respondents. Among the measured factors, academic performance received the highest weighted mean rating (3.33), indicating that students perceive a strong connection between safety and their academic focus. Based on the findings, a proposed action plan includes enhancements in surveillance, the implementation of stricter security protocols, and more visible security presence on campus. The study emphasizes that student safety and the physical school environment are key concerns for Grade 11 HUMSS students. Their perceptions underscore the need for improved safety measures and consistent security operations. All evaluated areas—school surroundings, safety concerns, and academic performance—received strong agreement ratings, confirming students’ shared sentiments about campus security. The proposed recommendations aim to improve surveillance accuracy, strengthen security personnel reliability, and promote a more secure and supportive academic atmosphere.
