Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are systems that use machine learning to perform tasks traditionally dependent on human input. In the academic context, these tools aim to improve student performance by generating smart content and enhancing productivity. Many students currently face challenges such as grammatical errors, lack of ideas, and frequent misinterpretations. AI tools provide support in addressing these issues. This study explores the role of AI tools in boosting the productivity of Grade 11 and 12 General Academic Strand (GAS) students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. This study employs a quantitative research design and utilizes purposive quota sampling to gather data from 77 Grade 11 and 12 GAS students. A structured questionnaire was used as the primary data collection tool to assess the perceived impact of AI tools on student productivity. Findings revealed that students agreed on the helpfulness of AI tools such as ChatGPT (2.92), Perplexity AI (2.92), and Grammarly (3.19) in addressing Sub-Problem 1, which focuses on tool usage. For Sub-Problem 2, students also agreed that AI tools contributed positively to time management (3.11), overall tool usage (2.92), and learning engagement (3.05). These tools were perceived as beneficial in accomplishing academic tasks, enhancing grammar, and reducing errors. Furthermore, the use of AI tools helped students identify learning gaps and improved access to educational support. The study highlights the contributions of AI tools in enhancing student productivity, as perceived by Grade 11 and 12 GAS students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. AI tools were found to provide academic advantages such as improving grammar, managing study time, and increasing engagement. Based on the findings, the study recommends the continued use and integration of AI tools in academic settings to support learners in overcoming common academic challenges and improving overall performance.
