This study, titled "Implementation of Oplan Sita in Barangay Sta. Monica, Novaliches, Quezon City," aims to assess the effectiveness of Oplan Sita in reducing crime in the areas where it is implemented. It seeks to identify the operational challenges encountered by law enforcement officers during its execution and to analyze public perception and the extent of community cooperation with the initiative. Furthermore, the study examines the legal and ethical implications of Oplan Sita, including potential risks of authority abuse. Finally, it proposes recommendations to enhance the efficiency, accountability, and community impact of the program. This study employed a purposive sampling technique, chosen for its ability to align participants with the specific goals and objectives of the research. While some view purposive sampling as a simple method, it has evolved significantly and offers methodological rigor when applied correctly. It enhances the credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability of the study’s findings. In this research, purposive sampling was used to select a total of 50 respondents, composed of 10 police officers and 40 motorists, who participated by answering the distributed questionnaires. In terms of age, among the fifty (50) respondents, twenty-five (25), or 50%, are between 18 and 25 years old. Conversely, the least represented age group comprises those aged 51 and above, with only two (2) respondents or 4%. With regard to sex, the majority of respondents are male, totaling forty-one (41) or 82%, while only nine (9) respondents, or 18%, are female. The most frequently reported issue encountered during the implementation of Oplan Sita is the presence of individuals driving without a license. This concern was identified by forty-four (44) out of fifty (50) respondents, accounting for 88%, making it the top-ranked problem. This chapter presents the summary and conclusion of the study, which aimed to identify the challenges encountered in the implementation of Oplan Sita in Barangay Sta. Monica, Quezon City. The findings highlighted various operational issues faced by both motorists and law enforcement officers. Based on the results, it is recommended that additional training be provided to police officers to ensure they conduct Oplan Sita operations under established protocols and human rights guidelines. Strengthening these aspects will contribute to more effective, fair, and community-trusted law enforcement practices.
